Full job description

Protocol of biomedical engineers

1. Routine Equipment Maintenance: Regular checks and repairs help keep devices working optimally.

2. Software Updates: Ensuring that all machines have the latest software to improve performance and safety.

3. Safety Audits: Conducting thorough evaluations to identify and mitigate risks associated with medical devices.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. To Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner thereafter to write daily report on repairs and maintenance work done and submit to Head of department

2. To perform corrective maintenance T&C and PPM for the Biomedical Equipment as per the schedule (example: Perform Planned Preventive Maintenance on medical devices (e.g., infusion pumps, defibrillators, ECG machines, patient monitors).

3. Install, calibrate, and test biomedical equipment according to manufacturer specifications.

4. Maintain accurate documentation for service reports, calibration records, and maintenance schedules.

5. Ensure compliance with local regulatory standards (e.g., MDA, CKAPS/ MOH) and hospital policies.

6. To perform "On Call" duties as and when required.

8. To ensure all tools and tools and equipment in the maintenance office and tool bag are properly arranged and maintained all times.

9. To ensure the work place are kept clean and tidy.

11. To perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related service, repair, installation and commissioning of medical equipment.
  • Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitudes may also be considered.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
