Catering Event Manager jobs

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Event Manager to manage and execute high-quality events from start to finish. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering events that meet client expectations and run smoothly on the ground.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fast-paced environments, problem-solving on the go, and managing multiple moving parts under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end planning and execution of client events such as product launches, corporate dinners, roadshows, brand activations, and press events.
• Develop event concepts, timelines, run-of-show (ROS), and production plans.
• Source, negotiate, and manage vendors including AV, catering, staging, décor, and printing.
• Prepare and monitor event budgets, cost sheets, and post-event reports.
• Coordinate with internal creative teams on event themes, branding, and visuals.
• Handle emcee, speaker, and talent coordination and briefing.
• Lead on-site event setup, execution, and troubleshooting.
• Liaise with clients before, during, and after events.
• Coordinate event photography/video coverage and post-event content delivery.
• Maintain and grow a reliable vendor database.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in event management (agency or in-house).
• Experience managing events ranging from RM30,000 to RM500,000.
• Strong vendor network in Klang Valley (AV, venues, F&B, décor, etc.).
• Good project management and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working under pressure and solving problems quickly.
• Strong communication and client servicing skills.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (especially Excel).

Nice to Have

• Experience with corporate events or HRDF-claimable training events.
• Existing network of emcees, performers, and event talent.
• Basic understanding of social media content capture for events.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
