Creative Strategist (DTC Content)

About the Role

Elixr Labs Sdn Bhd is a functional wellness brand growing our direct-to-consumer presence across Malaysia and Singapore.

We're looking for a Creative Strategist who can turn customer insights, product benefits, and market trends into content ideas that capture attention and drive action.

This is a fully remote role based in Malaysia. You will be responsible for developing creative concepts, content angles, scripts, hooks, and campaign ideas for paid advertising and organic content, while coordinating remotely with creators, designers, videographers, and the wider marketing team.

This role is not about simply posting on social media. We're looking for someone who understands consumer psychology, knows how to communicate product value clearly, and can consistently develop fresh creative ideas for a fast-moving DTC brand.

What You'll Be Doing

Content Strategy & Ideation

• Develop monthly content ideas and creative concepts based on customer insights and market trends
• Research customer pain points, motivations, objections, and purchase triggers
• Generate new content angles, hooks, and storytelling approaches
• Analyse competitor content and identify opportunities for differentiation
• Develop content strategies to support marketing campaigns and product growth

Creative Briefs & Script Development

• Create detailed creative briefs for videos, UGC, static creatives, and other marketing assets
• Develop video scripts, storyboards, hooks, and key talking points
• Translate product features and benefits into compelling customer-focused messaging
• Develop different content formats including:
• Educational content
• Problem/solution videos
• Product demonstrations
• Customer testimonials
• Lifestyle content
• Founder-led content
• Social proof content

Content Production Coordination

• Work with UGC creators, influencers, designers, photographers, and videographers to execute content ideas
• Provide creative direction to ensure content aligns with our brand positioning
• Review content drafts and final deliverables and provide clear, actionable feedback
• Maintain a consistent pipeline of fresh creative assets for paid and organic channels

Consumer & Market Research

• Monitor customer feedback, reviews, comments, and social media discussions to identify new content opportunities
• Stay updated on emerging content trends, formats, and storytelling styles
• Research competitor campaigns and creative approaches
• Identify recurring customer questions, objections, and conversations that can be turned into content

Creative Optimisation

• Review content performance insights provided by the marketing team
• Identify which content themes, hooks, messaging, and formats perform best
• Develop new creative variations based on previous performance and learnings
• Continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of creative output

Who We're Looking For

• 1-3 years of experience in content strategy, creative strategy, social media, digital marketing, or a related field
• Strong understanding of social media content and consumer behaviour
• Experience developing video concepts and scripts for marketing purposes
• Strong copywriting and storytelling skills
• Able to turn product features into compelling customer benefits
• Comfortable generating creative ideas consistently rather than waiting for direction
• Experience working with creators or content production teams is preferred
• Familiar with platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Meta, and e-commerce content trends
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple creative projects at the same time

Experience in DTC, FMCG, beauty, health, wellness, food, or consumer brands is a strong advantage.

Experience developing UGC content strategies is also highly preferred.

Basic knowledge of video production, Canva, CapCut, or similar creative tools is an advantage.

Work Details

• Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday – Friday
• Work Arrangement: Fully Remote
• Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
