POSITION : BUSINESS DATA ANALYST

JOB SUMMARY

In today's data-driven world, quickly transforming data into actionable insights is essential for success. The primary responsibility of the Business Data Analyst is to use your strong business analysis skills, along with your knowledge, experience, and competencies in data analytics, to discover the hidden potential within data. By working effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and translating complex data, you empower business units to make data driven decisions and foster a collaborative environment built on shared data insights. Your work creates a competitive advantage for the organization and directly contributes to our transformation into a data-driven powerhouse.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and translate business problems into clear and actionable data requirements.
  • Develop a comprehensive data sourcing strategy by identifying relevant data sources, acquisition methods, and collection schedules.
  • Clean, prepare, and organize data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and quality.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and patterns and obtain key business insights.
  • Champion best practices for data governance, ensuring data quality and consistency throughout the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data processes and tools.
  • Communicate complex business needs to technical teams and simplify technical solutions for business stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and promote data-driven solutions that are technically feasible and aligned with business goals.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends, best practices, and technologies for data analysis and business intelligence.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

▪ Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any degree

▪ Minimum of 2 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, data modeling, or a related field

▪ Working knowledge of SQL, Excel, and Python

▪ Working knowledge of data standards, principles, and best practices

▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

▪ Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and requirements elicitation skills

▪ Committed to continuous learning

▪ Capable of working with minimal supervision, takes initiative, and is committed to completing tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

▪ Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Commerce, Computer Science, IT, Analytics, or a related field

▪ Minimum of 3 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or data science

▪ Business Analysis experience in a bank or financial service company

▪ Understands financial and business data

▪ Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (Power BI, Amazon QuickSight, etc.)

▪ Working knowledge of data architectures

▪ Working knowledge of data model design patterns, business intelligence tools, and analytics tools

▪ Proficient in data modeling tools and techniques (ERD, UML, dimensional modeling, data vault, etc.)

Pay: RM400.00 - RM420.00 per day
