ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Head of Technical to lead the company's technical function across the project lifecycle, from early-stage technical assessment and design development through construction and project delivery.

This role provides technical leadership, ensures constructability and technical quality, resolves complex site issues, and collaborates cross-functionally with relevant departments to ensure projects are technically sound and executable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the technical function and technical team.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review designs, construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Assess constructability and identify potential technical risks before construction.
  • Provide technical assessment for site conditions and project feasibility where required.
  • Resolve complex technical and construction issues during project execution.
  • Review technical requirements that may impact project scope, cost or construction method.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with relevant departments to ensure technical alignment.
  • Establish and maintain technical standards, quality controls and review procedures.
  • Ensure projects achieve the required level of technical readiness before construction.
  • Drive continuous improvement based on recurring technical and site issues.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering - mandatory.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in construction, residential projects or a Design & Build environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge in civil, structural, architectural and construction works.
  • Strong ability to review drawings and identify constructability issues, technical gaps and project risks.
  • Proven experience in resolving technical and construction issues in actual project environments.
  • Good understanding of construction materials, specifications, methods and their impact on project execution.
  • Strong leadership, technical judgement, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Effective cross-functional communication and coordination skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects, priorities and technical matters simultaneously.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a technically strong leader who can evaluate whether a design or proposed construction solution is practical, identify risks early, and provide clear and workable technical direction throughout project execution.

This is a leadership and technical governance role, requiring both strong technical expertise and the ability to lead people, coordinate across functions and make sound technical decisions.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
