Full job description

AlS International School follows the Cambridge curriculum for primary, secondary, and IGCSE levels. We are seeking a creative and passionate Art Teacher to inspire and develop students’ artistic skills and appreciation for visual arts across Upper Primary and Secondary levels.

Candidates with prior teaching experience and familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum and standards will be given preference.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and creative Art lessons that encourage self-expression and artistic development in students.
  • Plan, prepare, and implement a high-quality Art curriculum in line with Cambridge standards.
  • Introduce students to a variety of artistic techniques, mediums, and digital tools.
  • Foster a stimulating classroom environment that nurtures creativity and critical thinking.
  • Organize and manage art-related projects, exhibitions, and school events.
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth.
  • Maintain communication with parents, colleagues, and school leadership regarding student progress.
  • Complete lesson plans, grading, and other required academic documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field with teaching qualifications.
  • Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience in Art, preferably within a Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum and international school setting.
  • Proficiency in traditional and modern art techniques, including the use of digital art tools.
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
  • Creativity, flexibility, and a passion for fostering artistic talent.
  • High standards of professionalism and classroom management skills.

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
