Location: Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur (PHKL)

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and monitor the ward facilities for any defects or issues, and promptly raise i-fac work orders, following up on their status.
  • Organize and maintain the ward store, ensuring consumable items are well-stocked and neatly arranged.
  • Respond to call bells and telephone inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist patients with daily personal care, including sponging, back care, toileting, and maintaining hygiene as required.
  • Clean and replenish water jugs and hot water flasks, ensuring they are refreshed at least twice daily or more frequently as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of ward and medical equipment, ensuring all tools are hygienic and functional.
  • Conduct hourly rounds to attend to high-risk patients' basic needs, including grooming and comfort.
  • Assist patients with mobility, including helping them to get in and out of bed, transferring between beds, stretchers, wheelchairs, and chairs under the supervision of nursing staff.
  • Serve meals to patients, offering assistance to high-risk patients during meal times as necessary.
  • Support daily bed making and tidying, ensuring patients’ beds are clean, comfortable, and well-organized.
  • Ensure empty rooms are thoroughly cleaned, appropriately stocked, and equipped to receive new admissions.
  • Greet patients courteously, ensuring a high standard of customer service is provided at all times.
  • Assist patients with ambulation and walking, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and care of the department’s basic equipment.
  • Provide ad hoc non-clinical support to the ward as required.

Requirements:

  • Must possess at least Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)
  • Fresh Diploma holders are encouraged to apply
  • Experience in housekeeping or a related field is an added advantage
  • Required language: English & Bahasa Melayu
  • Willing to work with flexible hours & shifts
  • Pleasant personality, positive attitude, flexible and a fast learner
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Words, Excel

Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
