1.0 Job Responsibilities

1. Clinical & Patient Care

• Conduct first aid and emergency medical treatment for workplace injuries, illnesses, and accidents.
• Assess and triage employees presenting to the occupational health clinic.
• Administer prescribed medications, dressings, injections, and other therapeutic procedures.
• Monitor and manage chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, musculoskeletal disorders) among employees.
• Refer cases requiring specialist or hospital care to appropriate external providers.
• Conduct periodical, and return-to-work medical examinations as directed.

2. Occupational Health & Safety

• Conduct health surveillance and medical monitoring programmes for employees exposed to occupational hazards (noise, chemicals, dust, ergonomic risks) if any or as directed.
• Assist in developing and implementing occupational health programmes and liaise with Safety & Health Officer (SHO) on incident investigations and corrective actions.

3. Records & Administration

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records (electronic and/or manual) for all employees in strict confidentiality.
• Prepare and submit periodic health statistics and reports to management and regulatory authorities as required.
• Manage clinic inventory, including procurement, storage, and expiry monitoring of medications and medical supplies.
• Process medical claims, medical leave certificates for management.

4. Health Promotion & Education

• Plan and conduct health education programmes, health talks, and awareness campaigns (e.g., ergonomics, nutrition, mental wellness, HIV/AIDS awareness).
• Promote preventive health measures and healthy lifestyle practices among employees.
• Coordinate employee vaccination programmes (e.g., hepatitis B, influenza etc) if deemed needed, such epidemic or pandemic.

5. Emergency Preparedness

• Serve as a key responder in the factory's Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Ensure first aid kits across the plant are adequately stocked and maintained.
• Conduct basic life support (BLS) and first aid training for designated factory personnel.

2.0 Job Requirements

• Diploma in Medical Assistant Studies (DMA) from a recognized Malaysian institution (e.g., Institut Latihan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia)
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience; experience in occupational health or an industrial setting is an advantage.
• Fully registered with the Allied Health Professions Act 2016 or holds a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) is an advantage.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, also team-oriented and collaborative with Safety, HR, and Production departments.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English (written and spoken); knowledge of Mandarin or Tamil is an added advantage.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
