Position Overview

This position is responsible for assisting in the basic care needs of patients in the ward and ensuring ward equipment is well maintained, clean, and ready for use when needed.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Assist Staff Nurses in providing basic patient care.
• Prepare patients for procedures, examinations, and operations under Staff Nurse supervision.
• Ensure patients’ hygiene and rooms are clean and tidy.
• Assist in weekly ward inventory checking to ensure physical stock matches the system and items are not expired.
• Perform daily top-up of disposable items in the ward.
• Ensure equipment rooms and disposable stores are clean and organized.
• Ensure CO2 and oxygen tanks are available for procedures and send empty tanks to the EMD Department.
• Ensure preventive maintenance (PPM) of equipment is carried out according to schedule.
• Report any incidents to the Nurse Manager.
• Ensure admission and discharge documents are completed before final checking by the Staff Nurse.
• Supervise ward clerks on patient charging and ward stock usage.
• Perform any other related duties assigned by management.

Requirements :

• Minimum SPM qualification.
• With or without working experience.
• Interest and/or experience in ward or healthcare environment is an advantage.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).

Working Hours (Shift Basis)

• 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
