Position Summary
The Executive / Senior Executive – Research Quality & Performance supports the coordination and monitoring of research-related quality, accreditation, compliance, and performance initiatives within the Research Management Office (RMC) at the Institute of Research, Development and Innovation (IRDI), IMU University.
The role focuses on supporting laboratory accreditation activities, research performance reporting (including MyRA), institutional ranking exercises, and related quality assurance processes. The position works closely with Deputy Directors, researchers, laboratory personnel, and administrative units to ensure timely submission of data, compliance with relevant requirements, and continuous improvement of research performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Laboratory Accreditation and Quality Support
- Assist in coordinating activities related to laboratory accreditation and quality assurance initiatives.
- Support the maintenance of laboratory quality documentation, records, and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate preparation for accreditation assessments, audits, and site visits.
- Monitor follow-up actions arising from audits and accreditation reviews.
- Liaise with laboratory staff and relevant external agencies on accreditation-related matters.
2. Research Performance Monitoring (MyRA)
- Support the collection, verification, and compilation of institutional data for MyRA submissions.
- Work closely with Schools, Centers, and administrative departments to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and dashboards for management review.
3. University Rankings and Assessments
- Support data collection, validation, and submission for QS Rankings and other institutional assessments.
- Maintain records and supporting documentation required for ranking exercises.
- Assist in analysing performance trends and benchmarking against peer institutions.
- Prepare reports and presentation materials for management and relevant committees.
4. Compliance and Reporting
- Maintain databases and records related to research performance, accreditation, and compliance activities.
- Assist in preparing periodic reports and performance updates.
- Ensure data integrity and adherence to reporting requirements.
- Support compliance with institutional, regulatory, and accreditation requirements relevant to research activities.
5. Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Support quality improvement and process enhancement projects within IRDI and RMO.
- Assist in the review and improvement of work processes, documentation, and reporting systems.
- Participate in benchmarking and best-practice initiatives related to research management and laboratory operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Health Sciences, Research Management, Quality Management, Business Administration, Higher Education Management, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in research administration, laboratory operations, quality assurance, accreditation, higher education administration, or related fields.
- Exposure to MyRA submissions, laboratory accreditation, university rankings, or research management activities is advantageous.
- Experience in data management, reporting, and coordination is preferred.
Technical Competencies
- Familiarity with research performance indicators and reporting systems.
- Basic understanding of laboratory accreditation and quality management practices.
- Knowledge of MyRA, QS Rankings, and higher education performance frameworks is advantageous.
- Proficiency in data management, analysis, and reporting tools.
