Job Purpose

Perform routine diagnostic services and therapeutic embryological and andrology procedures, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF). To communicate with patients about specific treatment options regarding fertility and research infertility solutions with other medical, nursing, counselling and administrative staff.

Duties

To be systematically acquiring and demonstrating the skills and knowledge necessary to carry out all laboratory protocols in:-

• Semen analysis
• Semen preparations
• Cryopreservation of sperm and embryo
• Oocyte retrieval
• Insemination and scoring of fertilization
• Embryo grading
• Embryo transfer
• To assist staff of the IVF Lab in maintaining the equipment and cleanliness within it.
• To keep accurate records of all procedures and of all specimens.
• To become familiar with related aspects of assisted conception program.
• To ensure high standard operating protocol is adhered to.
• To participate and contribute to the marketing and expansion activities of the center as the need arises.
• To be in-charge or assist in certain project/s as and when directed by the doctor or Chief Embryologist.
• Assisting fellow colleagues and to perform any other duties as assigned by the Medical Director or management

Requirements

• Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological field (Min CGPA: 3.00), preferably Biomedical Sciences or equivalent.
• Possess knowledge of and comply with quality control, ethical issues and regulations surrounding gamete and embryo handling.
• Knowledge of laboratory skills, meticulous and detail oriented.
• Ability to organize and carry out research.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and techniques.
