About the Role

We are looking for highly motivated Technical Assistants to support various technical operations within Perodua’s manufacturing environment.
This role is suitable for candidates from IT-related fields and Engineering/Technical disciplines. The Technical Assistant will assist in daily technical tasks, troubleshooting, system or equipment support, and ensuring smooth operational workflow in assigned departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and assistance to engineers, supervisors, and operational teams.
• Assist in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment, systems, or tools depending on department assignment.
• Perform data entry, reporting, documentation, and record‑keeping of technical activities.
• Support testing, calibration, inspection, and quality checks of machinery or systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and promptly escalate issues for corrective actions.
• Assist in the implementation of process improvements, technical upgrades, or project tasks.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality standards, and company policies.
• Carry out other technical tasks or ad‑hoc duties as required.

Job RequirementsAcademic Qualifications (Any of the following):

Diploma / Certificate / Degree in:

• Information Technology
• Computer Science / Software / Networking / Cybersecurity
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Mechatronics
• Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering
• Tool & Die
• Machining / CNC / Precision Engineering
• Welding Technology
• Any other IT or Engineering-related discipline relevant to manufacturing

Technical Skills (Depending on specialization):

• Basic understanding of technical systems, equipment, tools, or IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge in troubleshooting hardware, software, machines, or electrical/electronic components.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, or SOPs (engineering roles).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, technical software, or engineering tools.
• Basic knowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

Soft Skills:

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Responsible, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
