Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation, plating, packing, and distribution of meals according to prescribed diets.
• Check, update, and verify patients’ diet orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with nutritional standards.
• Label meals, trolleys, and diet stickers accurately based on individual dietary requirements.
• Deliver meals to patients and medical units according to the scheduled time.
• Prepare beverages and support daily café operations.
• Handle café sales, including taking orders, managing payments, and providing customer service.
• To serve the customer needs in the cafeteria service including cashier, counter service, meal orders, cleanliness etc. (Applicable to cafeteria duty only).
• Cover and assist during catering services, special events, or hospital functions when required.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, café, and service areas in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Collect used trays, wash dishes, and ensure proper storage of equipment after service.
• Assist in receiving, arranging, and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Support dietitians, cooks, and kitchen staff in daily foodservice operations.
• Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures (SOPs), food safety regulations, and workplace safety guidelines.

• Delivery of patient meals to the designated location (ie wards) in the hospital, and collection and cleaning of patient trays and meal utensils.
• Delivery of catering food to the designated location and collection and cleaning of the catering utensils and equipment.
• Ensure the kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy and assist with the waste removal and washing procedures.
• Comply and adhere to the requirements of hospital work procedures/policies set out by the management from time to time

Requirements:

• Minimum SPM or equivalent
• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in hospital foodservice, industrial catering.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work on shift rotations, including weekends and public holidays when required.
