Job Description:

Environmental Science (M) Sdn Bhd is an established environmental consultancy and laboratory service provider in Malaysia. We are seeking a motivated Lab Technician to support our growing operations in Kuching, Sarawak under our Sarawak branch.

Salary: RM2,000 - RM2,500
Location: The Isthmus, Kuching

Requirements:

• Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Applied Science or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory experience, or fresh graduates with relevant laboratory exposure (e.g. internship or industrial training), are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory practices will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
• Good analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Job Scope:

• Conduct laboratory analysis in accordance with approved standard methods and laboratory procedures.
• Perform environmental sample preparation, testing, and maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Assist in the operation of laboratory instruments such as ICP-OES, GC, UV and other analytical equipment, where applicable.
• Ensure all testing activities are carried out in compliance with laboratory quality standards, safety procedures and company requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic calibration of laboratory equipment, and report any equipment malfunction or non-conformities to the superior.
• Assist in sample handling, storage, inventory management of laboratory consumables, and proper waste disposal in accordance with laboratory procedures.
• Support the superior in maintaining efficient laboratory operations, good housekeeping and continuous improvement of laboratory performance.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management from time to time.

Working Days & Hour:

• Monday to Friday
• 8.30am to 5.00pm

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
