About Us
PORTMAN College is part of PORTMAN Education Group. We are looking for a passionate and committed Lecturer to teach Business Management programmes and help our students succeed academically and professionally.
Job Responsibilities – Business Management Lecturer
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, tutorials, and assessments for Business Management modules, including Finance, Accounting, Business Mathematics, and Business Statistics.
- Teach subjects related to Finance and Accounting, Business Mathematics, or Business Statistics, depending on the candidate’s area of expertise and the programme’s requirements.
- Develop and update teaching materials, lesson plans, and course outlines in line with programme requirements, curriculum standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Set, mark, and moderate assignments, tests, and examinations, and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Monitor student progress, provide academic advising, and offer appropriate support to students who are at risk of underperforming.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessment marks, academic progress, and course documentation.
- Participate in curriculum reviews, quality assurance activities, Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) requirements, and academic audits.
- Contribute to college events, student activities, and programme promotion when required.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Business Management, Business Administration or a related field (as required by MQA for the programme level)
- Teaching or lecturing experience in higher education is an advantage; fresh Master's graduates are welcome to apply
- Good command of English; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage
- Strong presentation, communication and classroom management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and online learning platforms
- Malaysian citizen
- Able to start soon
