Patient Registration and Reception:

  • Greet patients as they arrive at the clinic.
  • Register patients, collect demographic and insurance information.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.

Appointment Management:

  • Coordinate appointments for patients, ensuring efficient scheduling.
  • Remind patients of upcoming appointments via phone calls or text messages.
  • Manage cancellations or rescheduling as needed.

Clinical Support:

  • Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations or procedures.
  • Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure cleanliness.
  • Handle basic clinical procedures such as measuring vital signs, administering injections (if trained and authorized), and performing basic tests like blood pressure measurement or blood glucose monitoring.

Medical Records Management:

  • Maintain electronic or paper-based medical records accurately and securely.
  • Ensure completeness and confidentiality of patient records.
  • Retrieve and file medical records as necessary.

Billing and Payment Handling:

  • Process billing information, including insurance claims and patient payments.
  • Verify insurance coverage and eligibility.
  • Provide patients with information about billing procedures and payment options.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and manage inventory of medical and office supplies.
  • Place orders for supplies as needed, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Receive and organize incoming supplies.

Patient Education and Support:

  • Provide basic information to patients about clinic services, procedures, and policies.
  • Offer guidance on medication usage, appointment scheduling, and follow-up care.
  • Answer patients' inquiries or direct them to appropriate resources.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the clinic premises, including waiting areas, examination rooms, and restrooms.
  • Dispose of medical waste properly according to regulations.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, staff members, and patients.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare facilities or agencies as necessary for referrals or patient care coordination.
  • Assist in organizing health education programs or community outreach activities.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and initiatives.
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful work environment.
