Job Description

Patient Registration & Appointment Coordination

  • Register patients accurately in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments for diagnostic procedures.
  • Coordinate appointment arrangements with consultants, technicians, nurses, and other departments.
  • Ensure proper documentation and consent forms are completed before procedures.

Customer Service

  • Attend to patients and visitors at the reception counter.
  • Handle telephone, email, and walk-in enquiries professionally.
  • Provide information on diagnostic procedures, preparation requirements, and appointment schedules.
  • Address patient concerns and escalate issues when necessary.

Billing & Documentation

  • Process patient billing and ensure accurate charging of procedures.
  • Verify patient information, referrals, and supporting documents.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and departmental documentation.

Operational Coordination

  • Coordinate patient flow to minimize waiting time and ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Liaise with internal departments regarding patient appointments, reports, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum SPM, STPM, Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
  • Diploma in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Hospital Management, or related fields is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in healthcare, hospital, clinic, customer service, or administrative roles.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good multitasking abilities.
