Full job description

To be responsible for the speedy retrieval of medical folders and assisting in medical reports submission to patients. Correct filing of medical folders according to registered numbers.

Duties:

a) Arrange and maintain medical records according to patients' names (alphabetically) or registration numbers.

b) Organize patient records systematically and ensure accurate filing of medical folders in the designated compactors.

c) Retrieve medical records as requested and prepare patient files for clinic appointments.

d) Liaise with nurses and secretaries regarding medical records and ensure the timely return of patient folders to the Medical Records Department.

e) Assist the Medical Record Officer/Executive in collecting and compiling data for reporting purposes.

f) Support ICD coding activities and ensure proper filing and retrieval of medical records.

g) Handle patients' enquiries, complaints, and requests related to medical report services.

h) Receive discharged patients' records from the wards and Emergency Department, and verify collected notes against the Hospital Information System (HIS) to ensure accuracy.

i) Review discharged patient folders in accordance with the Medical Record Checklist.

j) Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior.

Diploma or Degree in Medical Records / Health Information Management or related field

Experience in healthcare will be an added advantage

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
