Blessono Specialist Clinic is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Accuracy, reliability, and strong technical knowledge are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform phlebotomy and blood collection for health screening, diagnostic tests, and other laboratory investigations.
• Verify patient identity, test requirements, and specimen details before blood collection.
• Ensure proper patient preparation, blood-taking technique, specimen handling, labelling, and storage according to laboratory procedures.
• Handle and prepare blood specimens for submission to the relevant laboratory for testing.
• Ensure specimens are properly documented and sent to the laboratory within the required timeframe.
• Monitor the status of pending laboratory results and follow up with the laboratory when necessary.
• Once laboratory results are available, review and organise the results and prepare the relevant reports for the customer.
• Ensure reports are complete, properly arranged, and matched to the correct patient.
• Assist the doctor with laboratory results and reports when required, including preparing relevant information for the doctor's review or consultation.
• Coordinate with doctors and the clinic team regarding abnormal, urgent, or follow-up results when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient and laboratory records while ensuring confidentiality of all patient information.
• Maintain proper hygiene, infection control, and safety procedures during blood collection and specimen handling.
• Ensure the phlebotomy area, equipment, and supplies are properly maintained and adequately stocked.
• Provide a professional and reassuring experience to patients throughout the blood collection process.
• Perform other laboratory and clinical support duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
• Registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in a clinical laboratory setting
• Familiar with laboratory information systems (LIS) and computer-literate
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; Mandarin is an advantage

Preferred Qualities

• Multilingual candidates (especially with Mandarin proficiency) are encouraged to apply
• Candidates with prior experience in private clinics or health screening centers will have an added advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
