Medical Lecturer jobs

Health & Science Lecturer is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, facilitating student learning, developing curriculum, assessing student performance, and contributing to academic excellence. The lecturer will ensure that students acquire the knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required in the health and science disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Learning

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and practical classes according to the approved curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning resources.
• Employ innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement.
• Facilitate online, blended, and face-to-face learning where applicable.
• Monitor student attendance, participation, and academic progress.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Design examination papers, quizzes, assignments, and practical assessments.
• Mark and evaluate student work in accordance with academic standards.
• Provide constructive feedback to support student development.
• Maintain accurate academic records and submit results within stipulated deadlines.

Curriculum Development

• Participate in curriculum design, review, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure course content aligns with accreditation and industry requirements.
• Develop teaching materials and laboratory manuals.

Research & Professional Development

• Maintain current knowledge of developments in health and science education.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and learning resources.
• Employ innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement.
• Facilitate online, blended, and face-to-face learning where applicable.
• Monitor student attendance, participation, and academic progress.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Health Sciences, Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing, Public Health, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Candidates with a PhD are an added advantage.
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
• Industry or clinical experience in a relevant health or science field is an advantage.
• Experience with Outcome-Based Education (OBE), e-learning platforms, and curriculum development is preferred.
• Good presentation skills with good command of written and spoken English.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
