As Santen Malaysia continues to grow and expand its business, we are looking for a talented individual to join us as a Medical Sales Representative (MSR).

Based in Penang, the MSR is responsible for achieving sales targets for Santen’s ophthalmology portfolio by building strong customer relationships, executing disciplined sales strategies, and delivering impactful promotional activities. The role involves supporting product launches and marketing initiatives, expanding business opportunities through new account acquisition and hospital product listings, and collaborating with key stakeholders to maximize resources. By maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, the representative drives sales growth, increases market share, and strengthens Santen’s presence in the market.


Job Description


What you will do

  • Promote key products of the company by detailing the features, advantages, benefits & unique selling points of company’s products
  • Deliver sales targets and distribution objectives for assigned portfolio/channel
  • Work closely with hospital stakeholders to list products into hospitals
  • Report on sales and business performance for aligned portfolio/channel which includes providing updates on competitor activity
  • Execute clear and effective call reports, and meet business KPIs as will be defined from time to time
  • Actively build and maintain current and potential customer relationships
  • Act as the first point of contact for aligned customers
  • Provide feedback to managers regarding customers, markets and product performance/issues
  • Actively participate in all business meetings and operating mechanisms
  • Achieve and maintain good merchandising standards in assigned retail outlets
  • Ensure compliance with approved pharmaceutical practices and maintaining company’s standards of performance
  • Additional role as and when required and not limitation to the above.

Qualifications


What you will bring to the role

  • Minimum Diploma, but Degree preferred
  • 2 years relevant sales experience, preferably Pharmaceutical/Healthcare related industry
  • Good communication and presentation skill and the ability to listen to others
  • Highly-motivated with effective prioritization and organizational skills
  • Independent and resourceful team player with strong analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills
