Responsibilities :
- Operations: Direct daily testing workflows, maintain high diagnostic accuracy, and optimize turnaround times.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate medical lab technicians and technologists.
- Compliance: Enforce safety protocols (such as OSHA or local health standards) and ensure readiness for audits and accreditations.
- Budgeting: Manage departmental budgets, order reagents, and oversee procurement or repair of medical equipment.
- Quality Control: Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and monitor quality assurance data
Requirements :
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biochemistry, or a related life science.
- Certification: Certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) preferred.
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of progressive laboratory work experience, including supervisory or management duties.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and deep knowledge of health regulations
