QC Assistant (Food Manufacturing)

About the Role

Elixr Labs Sdn Bhd is a growing functional wellness brand looking for a detail-oriented and disciplined QC Assistant to join our team full-time. You'll be the eyes and ears of our production floor — ensuring every batch of our oat milk meets GMP, MESTI, and food safety standards from start to finish.

This role is ideal for someone who takes compliance seriously, is meticulous with documentation, and isn't afraid to speak up when something isn't right.

What You'll Be Doing

• Monitor and enforce GMP and MESTI standards throughout the production floor daily
• Conduct in-process checks at each production stage — blending, filling, and packaging
• Inspect finished sachets and master cartons for correct weight, seal integrity, and packaging quality
• Verify that ingredients used match production batch records and formulation specs
• Check and maintain production logs, batch records, and QC checklists accurately
• Flag and quarantine any non-conforming products or materials immediately
• Ensure all production personnel adhere to hygiene protocols (PPE, handwashing, no contamination)
• Conduct pre-production line clearance checks before each shift begins
• Report any deviations, defects, or process issues to the production supervisor promptly
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to raise production quality over time

Who We're Looking For

• Prior experience in a QC, QA, or food safety role within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Familiar with GMP, MESTI, and basic food safety compliance requirements
• Strong attention to detail — able to spot inconsistencies in product, process, or documentation
• Meticulous with paperwork — accurate and consistent in filling QC logs and batch records
• Firm and assertive — able to raise issues and enforce standards on the production floor without hesitation
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• A fast learner who can grow with the company as we scale production

Bonus Points If You Have

• A valid Food Hygiene / Food Handler Certificate
• A Typhoid vaccination certificate
• Familiarity with HACCP principles
• Experience in sachet or powder product manufacturing
• A Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or related field

(Don't have the food handler or typhoid cert yet? No worries — the company will sponsor both upon confirmation.)

Work Details

• Location: Gelang Patah, Johor (in-person)
• Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1 hour lunch break)
• Working Days: Monday – Friday
• Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
