FULL TIME LECTURER

SCHOOL OF MULTIMEDIA

Lecturer (Multimedia)

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Multimedia Lecturer to teach at both the Diploma and Degree levels. The candidate will deliver engaging lessons, guide students in practical and creative projects, and contribute to curriculum enhancement and academic quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct lectures, tutorials, workshops, and practical classes in multimedia-related subjects.
  • Develop teaching materials, lesson plans, assessments, and digital resources.
  • Supervise student projects, assignments, and portfolios.
  • Prepare, conduct, and evaluate examinations and assessments.
  • Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and consultation to students.
  • Participate in curriculum review and enhancement.
  • Maintain records for attendance, grading, and student progress.
  • Contribute to academic meetings, programme coordination, and institutional quality assurance.
  • Participate in marketing, outreach activities, and student recruitment when required.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Multimedia, Digital Media, Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field (PhD is an added advantage).
  • Teaching experience at diploma or degree level is preferred.
  • Industry experience in multimedia, digital media, or creative content is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in multimedia software and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, video editing applications).
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to manage classes and engage students effectively.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.

SCHOOL OF BUSINESS & HOSPITALITY

Lecturer (Accounting)

Job Purpose:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lecturer in Accounting to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction, developing course materials, supervising students, and contributing actively to the academic community at DISTED College.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in accounting and related fields.
  • Develop, update and review course content, ensuring alignment with academic standards and industry needs.
  • Design, administer, and evaluate assessments, examinations, and student projects.
  • Provide academic supervision and mentorship to students, including project guidance and pastoral support.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current in the field.
  • Contribute to curriculum enhancement and the development of new academic programs where applicable.

Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree in accounting from a recognized university
  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline
  • Candidates without a Master’s degree but with a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, CPA Australia, MIA or ACCA) are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented academic environment Ability to work effectively as part of a team

MARKETING DEPARTMENT

Marketing Trainee

Job Overview:

The Management Trainee supports the planning and execution of marketing activities to promote the organisation’s brand and programmes, ensuring effective engagement and alignment with organisational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive student engagement and recruitment initiatives to achieve or exceed enrolment targets.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with student recruitment agents.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with high schools to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Provide programme counselling sessions to prospective students/parents.
  • Develop a good relationship between the college and potential students, parents, teachers, and other related parties.
  • Attend to all walk-in, email enquiries and incoming calls that are related to enrolment and admissions matters.
  • Represent the college at recruitment events to attract prospective students and support the organisation of Open Days, Scholarship & Registration Weeks.
  • Perform the day-to-day administrative duties.

Requirements:

  • Fresh graduate or Diploma in a relevant field.
  • Able to perform in course counselling, sales and marketing, as well as promotional activities in the education industry, are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Must possess good communication skills in oral and written in Malay and English
  • Must possess good communication skills in Chinese to effectively communicate with Chinese-speaking clients.
  • Must be able to gain transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, organization, problem-solving and time management.
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous, analytical and good organization and planning skills.
  • Willing to travel
