The Quality Assurance Executive is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured at Nestlé Shah Alam Complex comply with Nestlé Management System (NMS) for Quality, Food Safety Management System (FSMS), HACCP requirements, regulatory standards, and customer expectations. The role supports quality assurance activities across raw materials, packaging materials, in-process controls, finished products, food safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve Nestlé's commitment to quality and consumer safety.

A day in the life of...

Quality & Food Safety Management

• Implement and maintain Nestlé Management System (NMS) for Quality, HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety Management System requirements.
• Participate in HACCP studies, reviews, and risk assessments to ensure food safety controls remain effective.
• Review and update quality and food safety documentation, procedures, and standards.
• Monitor and verify compliance with regulatory requirements, Nestlé standards, and certification requirements.
• Support internal, external, customer, and certification audits.

• Conduct routine quality inspections and verification activities throughout the manufacturing process.
• Ensure that all incoming raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet the specifications before release by close monitoring of results.
• Investigate quality incidents, consumer complaints, non-conformities, and deviations, and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure timely disposition of non-conforming products and materials.
• Ensure Good Lab Practices by maintaining comprehensive ICP with proper and adequate equipment.

Continuous Improvement

• Analyze quality performance indicators and identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, product losses, and quality-related incidents.
• Support root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable corrective actions.
• Drive quality awareness programs and best practices across the factory.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain accurate quality records and reports.
• Ensure quality documentation is current, controlled, and audit-ready.
• Support regulatory compliance activities including labeling, product compliance, and food safety requirements.

Training & Stakeholder Management

• Conduct quality and food safety training for employees and contractors.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, R&D, Procurement, and Technical teams to ensure product quality standards are achieved.
• Support quality culture development across the factory.

What Will Make You Successful

• Bachelor degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Chemistry or related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Food Safety, or Manufacturing is an advantage.
• Strong problem analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Solid written, verbal and presentation skills to communicate technical information to all levels of the organization
• Capable of working as part of a multi discipline team
• Self-motivated with a high level of initiative
