Job Description:

  • Review P&IDs, single-line diagrams, logic diagrams, hook-up drawings, cable schedules and vendor documents to support commissioning activities.
  • Prepare commissioning procedures, test packs, punch lists, reports and system handover documents.
  • To lead loop checking, functional testing, cause-and-effect testing, equipment energization, troubleshooting, system testing and start-up support.
  • Coordinate with construction teams, vendors, operations personnel, clients and offshore teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Support commissioning activities during installation, shutdown and tie-in works.
  • Identify suitable vendors and review technical proposals for project requirements.
  • Conduct Technical Bid Evaluations and support Purchase Order processes.
  • Stationed at the fabrication yard to coordinate with the fabrication team, conduct material inspections, monitor scope handover, and ensure there are no carry-over works or scope deviations prior to offshore installation.
  • Participate in Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) at the fabrication yard.
  • Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests and monitor equipment delivery to ensure compliance with project requirements and schedules.
  • Comply with company HSE requirements, Permit-to-Work procedures and applicable safety regulations.
  • Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, toolbox talks and safety meetings to ensure activities are executed safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a Degree in Engineering
  • Registered with the Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM).
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in offshore topside Hook-Up and Commissioning (HUC), with at least 3 years in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge non-conformities, ensure contract adherence, and protect company interest under operational pressure.
  • Strong familiarity with offshore execution practices, HUC sequence logic, Permit-To-Work (PTW) systems, and simultaneous operation protocols.
  • Experience in Work Order Package (WOP) development and review, particularly in execution planning, manpower loading, and material readiness.
