Full job description

  • Support the development and implementation of Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental (OSHE) training programmes and initiatives.
  • Attend site loading activities as required by clients to monitor compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Conduct incident and accident investigations, prepare comprehensive investigation reports, identify root causes, and provide statistical analysis and recommendations to management.
  • Conduct truck inspection to ensure compliance with safety, legal, and operational requirements.
  • Monitor and verify the timely submission of Pre-Departure Checklists (PDC) by drivers, ensure all reported defects are addressed, and maintain inspection records for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Conduct risk assessments, including HIRARC and Road Hazard Mapping, and implement appropriate preventive and control measures.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct HSE and Security training programmes, awareness campaigns, and promotional activities in the workplace.
  • Develop, review, and update HSE procedures, work instructions, and documentation to meet regulatory, client, and company requirements.
  • Monitor vendor transport compliance documentation, including permits, PUSPAKOM inspection certificates, Goods Driving Licence (GDL), Defensive Driver Training (DDT) certificates (where applicable), insurance, road tax, and other statutory or client-required documents, ensuring timely renewal and compliance.
  • Conduct periodic truck inspections to verify vehicle roadworthiness, housekeeping, safety equipment, and compliance with company and client requirements.
  • Assist the QHSE Officer in maintaining and improving the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, including participation in internal audits and continuous improvement activities.
  • Prepare HSE reports, records, and other documentation as required by management, clients, or regulatory authorities.
  • Perform any other duties, assignments, or responsibilities as directed by management from time to time.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of working experience in the HSE field, preferably within the logistics, land transportation, or warehousing industry.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) regulations and APAD requirements applicable to the transportation and logistics industry will be added advantage.
  • Willing and able to travel and work outstation when required.
  • Experience in HSE requirements for clients in the Oil & Gas industry will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken). Proficiency in additional languages will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and report preparation.
  • Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation.
