Restaurant Operations Manager jobs

About the Role

Ben's Kitchen is looking for a hands-on General Manager of Operations to lead day-to-day performance across our outlets. This role owns front-of-house and back-of-house execution, staff performance, guest experience standards, and operational discipline — reporting directly to [COO/Ops Director/Owner].

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily operations across Ben's Kitchen outlet(s), ensuring consistent execution of service, food quality, and cleanliness standards
• Conduct regular floor audits across Hostess, Server, Barista, and Restaurant Manager roles; drive corrective action on gaps
• Manage opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory controls
• Lead, coach, and performance-manage Restaurant Managers and outlet-level teams
• Own staff scheduling, labor cost control, and peak-period readiness
• Monitor guest experience metrics and resolve escalated complaints
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards are consistently met
• Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary matters for operations staff
• Report on outlet performance (sales, cost, service KPIs) to leadership

What You'll Need

• 5+ years in F&B/restaurant operations, with at least 2 years in a multi-unit or senior management role
• Strong track record in casual dining or QSR environments
• Working knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and labor scheduling
• Excellent people leadership and coaching skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and peak hours
• Fluency in English; Bahasa Melayu a strong advantage
