Full job description

Location : NEW OPENING ! CHINESE SEAFOOD RESTAURANT [OMBAK KLCC-KL CITY]

This role focuses heavily on driving sales through live seafood recommendations, taking complex table orders (including set menus and banquets), supervising junior staff, and ensuring high service standards for both local families and corporate clients.

  • Recommend signature dishes, seasonal sets, and premium live seafood (e.g., crabs, lobsters, fishes) directly from the tanks.
  • Advise guests on cooking styles (e.g., steamed, baked, stir-fried) and appropriate portion weights based on their table size.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, paying close attention to dietary restrictions, allergies, and special banquet requirements.
  • Monitor food delivery timing to ensure hot dishes and live seafood items arrive at the tables promptly and in the correct sequence.
  • Perform premium tableside services when required, such as portioning out signature soups, carving roasted meats, or filleting fish.
  • Ensure the section is fully stocked with clean cutlery, plates, condiments, and operational equipment before service starts.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Captain or Team Leader Service member in an upscale F&B environment, preferably in a Chinese or seafood restaurant.
  • Strong communication skills. Fluency in English and Bahasa Melayu is required; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is highly preferred to communicate effectively with the kitchen team and traditional clientele.
  • Strong product knowledge of Chinese cuisine, live seafood handling, and upselling techniques.
  • Leadership potential, energetic, well-groomed, and capable of handling fast-paced service rushes smoothly.
  • Shift work required, including weekends, and public holidays.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
