Position Objective: Functional Consultant / IT Business Analyst

We are seeking a professional who leads with clarity and analytical depth, moving beyond basic documentation. You will serve as the essential link between commercial goals and technical execution, ensuring digital products are functional, efficient, and perfectly aligned with operational workflows. This client-facing role requires high ownership and the ability to guide functional strategy throughout Agile development lifecycles.

Principal Functional Duties
Functional Strategy & Requirement Leadership

• Lead discovery sessions and thorough business process evaluations.
• Convert commercial targets into precise functional blueprints and system logic.
• Identify potential discrepancies, risks, and optimization opportunities at early stages.
• Verify requirement accuracy before engineering begins.
• Manage comprehensive functional documentation (FSDs, process maps, business logic).

Driving Digital Evolution

• Analyze client operations to recommend technology-driven improvements.
• Align system architecture with real-world utility rather than abstract concepts.
• Assist in streamlining processes, automation, and user interaction.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all client projects.

Agile Execution & Accountability

• Participate actively in sprint ceremonies (planning, refinement, and reviews).
• Maintain backlog health and ensure full requirement traceability.
• Partner with PMs, Developers, QA, and Designers as a unified team.
• Prioritize the quality of functional outcomes over administrative paperwork.

Client Advisory & Relations

• Act as a trusted consultant, guiding clients on solution architecture.
• Effectively demonstrate complex workflows and system behaviors.
• Coordinate scope alignment and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Oversee UAT, formal approvals, and successful post-deployment transitions.

Applicant Prerequisites

We are not looking for a passive note-taker. We require a professional who analyzes deeply before documenting, focuses on business challenges over software features, and possesses the following:

• Academic Qualifications: Minimum of a Professional Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, Business, or a closely related field.
• Work Experience: 1–5 years of experience as a Functional Consultant, BA, or System Analyst (high-potential fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Technical Literacy: Familiarity with ERP, CRM, E-commerce, MES, or Booking platforms, as well as API integrations and automated workflows.
• Methodological Skill: Proven track record in fast-paced, Agile delivery environments and managing UAT/client milestones.
• Analytical Mastery: Superior ability to organize complex requirements and create order from ambiguity.
• Communication Excellence: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage transparently with stakeholders.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
