Job Summary

  • Deliver and teach MPU (Mata Pelajaran Umum) courses for diploma and undergraduate programmes.
  • Support the planning, implementation, and operational management of MPU courses in accordance with the requirements and guidelines of the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).
  • Assist in the continuous development and enhancement of MPU courses to ensure compliance with relevant academic and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and continuously enhance curriculum and instructional materials across multiple programs and academic levels.
  • Coordinate study units and deliver high-quality teaching activities, including lectures, tutorials (or labs), and student assessments.
  • Provide academic guidance, consultation, and mentoring to students.
  • Continuously improve personal teaching, training, and mentoring practices.
  • Drive innovation in teaching and learning initiatives within the Faculty.
  • Build and maintain a strong portfolio of research and scholarly activities.
  • Supervise honours, postgraduate, and doctoral research students.
  • Contribute to research training, foster research groups, and participate in collaborative research networks.
  • Maintain high academic and professional standards across all teaching and scholarly activities.
  • Support the administration, coordination, and ongoing development of the Faculty’s academic programs.
  • Establish and maintain professional engagement with industry and business sectors aligned with the Faculty’s focus areas.
  • Demonstrate leadership in academic initiatives, professional activities, and relevant community engagement.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • PhD in Social Science or a closely related field.
  • Knowledge in MPU or related units
  • Experience in teaching or training in higher education in a relevant discipline is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English, with the ability to teach in both languages

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
