Full job description

We are urgently seeking for a locum AMRO (Assistant Medical Review Officer).

Key Responsibilities

  • Specimen Review: Conduct initial checks on Chain of Custody forms for completeness and clerical errors.
  • Lab Coordination: Interface directly with certified testing laboratories to track and receive test results.
  • Donor Contact: Contact donors with non-negative results to collect initial medical history or prescription records.
  • MRO Assistance: Compile and present donor case files to the MRO for final medical determination.
  • Employer Reporting: Securely transmit verified final results to designated employer representatives.
  • Data Security: Maintain strict confidentiality of all health records in compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Audit Readiness: Audit day-to-day documentation to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety laws.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Minimum diploma or degree in Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Allied Health, or equivalent.
  • Certification: Must hold a valid, active AMRO Certification (e.g., from the Academy of Occupational and Environmental Medicine Malaysia - AOEMM).
  • Experience: Prior experience in corporate health screening, toxicology labs, or occupational health clinics is highly preferred.
  • Skills: High proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, exceptional detail orientation, and clear telephone communication skills.
