About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and goal-driven Junior Business Development Executive to join our team. In this role, you will contribute towards UKEC’s mid-to-long-term business development strategy by building meaningful relationships with educational partners and stakeholders locally and regionally. Your work will support student recruitment efforts while strengthening UKEC’s position as a professional and trusted education consultancy.

This role combines communication, strategic planning, and relationship management. You will support the development of partnerships, initiatives, and engagement channels that create meaningful value for schools, education institutions, counsellors, students, and parents navigating their educational journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to establish meaningful partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including local and international education institutions, student bodies, corporate organisations, and government agencies, to strengthen UKEC’s brand presence and promote our services and partner universities.
• Build relationships and engage with key decision-makers across secondary and tertiary education institutions to communicate UKEC’s value propositions in supporting student progression, institutional growth, and international education opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with education partners and stakeholders to support sustainable student recruitment and enrolment outcomes for our partner institutions.
• Coordinate closely with partner universities and institutions to organise and support student recruitment activities, outreach initiatives, and engagement events.
• Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to identify emerging opportunities, new recruitment channels, partnership prospects, and developments within the education landscape.
• Analyse student recruitment data, application trends, student mobility patterns, and market insights to support strategic planning, partnership development, and informed business decisions.
• Support the planning and execution of collaborative initiatives, campaigns, and partnership activities that create meaningful value for students, parents, schools, and higher education institutions.

Who will be a good fit?

• Proficiency in Mandarin is required
• A genuine interest in the education sector and passion to help students succeed by achieving their academic, personal, and career aspirations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence and professionalism to engage effectively with students, parents, educators, and industry stakeholders.
• A proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented individual who takes initiative and thrives in a dynamic working environment.
• Demonstrates resilience, adaptability, and a growth mindset when navigating challenges, building relationships, and pursuing long-term outcomes.

Bonus points

• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with experience in developing partnerships or securing new business opportunities.
• Prior experience in business development, partnerships, sales, education outreach, or stakeholder engagement roles.
