Full job description

Title: Quality & Food Safety Officer
Department: Quality & Food Safety
Location: Melaka
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose

Ensure all products meet quality, food safety, and HALAL standards through inspection, monitoring, and proper documentation throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming raw materials and packaging to ensure compliance with standards
  • Monitor in-process production and verify Critical Control Points (CCP)
  • Conduct finished goods inspection before release
  • Ensure proper handling of allergens, hygiene, and sanitation practices
  • Maintain accurate QC records, reports, and traceability documentation
  • Identify non-conformance, perform segregation, and follow up on corrective actions
  • Monitor cleanliness, pest control, and overall plant hygiene
  • Coordinate with Production, QA, and other departments on quality issues
  • Support audits, documentation, and compliance with ISO, GMP, HACCP, and HALAL

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food manufacturing / quality control
  • Able to understand English & Bahasa Malaysia
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety practices is an advantage
  • Able to handle documentation and quality records
  • Willing to work shifts and overtime when required

Key KPIs

  • Maintain low customer complaints on product quality
  • Minimize QC rejection cases (incoming, in-process, outgoing)
  • Zero food safety non-conformance
  • Zero CCP failure
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and company SOP

Additional Information

  • Work in plant environment
  • May require shift work and overtime
  • Must comply with company policies on safety, hygiene, and 5S

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,100.00 per month
