There are multiple levels of advancement possible, with some possibility of cross transfer to other functional areas if there are specific matching skill sets.
Rather bureaucratic, large scale organization. While claiming to support work/life balance, increased globalization and a high pace of change put a lot of pressure on a lot of people, particularly mid level managers, to work long hours.
Advice to Management
There is a tendency towards lifetime employment, no matter the contribution (or lack thereof). This tends to create a drag on efficiency and increases the difficulty in actually getting anything done.
