Fun workplace but low salary

I worked in a Burger King branch in Malaysia for a month. The workplace is fun and I looked forward to work every day. However, the pay is very low and not enough to support myself.

Nice place to work, friendly people

Burger King was not bad to work for, though we have some days where customers are rude for no real reason. Boss is kind and rewarding, cares a lot for her employees. I also had another boss I worked for that made the overall work experience more fun. He’s the one that hired me, I’m grateful he gave me a chance. Overall the work experience is really rewarding here. Good co workers, great bosses, and a welcoming working environment. I have no regrets about the job I chose.

Work experience, easy job, friendly staff, rewarding boss (though this can vary based on where you work)

Cons

Rude customers, had weed blown in face, occasional chaos, sometimes stressful

Its annoying

Hate it there because they are always trying to make you work more because the managers dont want to qork. Which whatever, but theres no bonuses or compensation

High Stress, Low Pay. You'll never get the hours you want.

Worked here for 6-8 months. While my manager was great, I requested on multiple occasions to not be scheduled more than 20 hours a week due to being in High School. I received 30+ hours a week, meanwhile others working at the same location requested more hours (Only working 10 hours a week, if that) and didn't get them. Overall, this job was more stressful than it was worth.

It's okay

First job, right out of HS so far no complaints I work in the mornings so it can get quite busy it's a good for saving money for college I started off part time

I applied for part time, but got full time days/hours. The management was not good, they were very unprofessional. Work environment was also terrible.

Amazing environment and very they are very flexible. The management team is the best very respectful and friendly. They treat you with respect the restaurant was always clean.

Difficult to stay interested and communicate effectively.

While working for Burger King I found it difficult to have a flexible schedule as there were few employees. Management was good except for one manager who is very difficult to communicate with, something that was very disappointing. The location was fine, it got plenty business. Was supposed to get a raise but got denied because of some miscommunication between management that I was not responsible for.

Didn't get free food, management need improvement, communication needs to be boosted.

Works with my schedule

Fun place to work, got less hours though than requested. Opportunities for advancement, but not many. Cross training is a plus. Will take college credit for a management position.

Job isn't hard itself at all. The people make the job worth while even if management is on bs w pay sometimes. Drive thru is easy once you get used to it.

Cool

Good customers and okay work. The burgers and fries aren't good for your body, but they are good for a lot people's eating. I had cool co-workers and the management was better than most.

You dont get paid enough to deal with all types of mean and rude people. Only okay place to work at if you work part time and if the location isn't as bad.

Toxic

awful place to work. Toxic coworkers, two faced employees, bad management. It's nepotism rampant. Mentally destroying, awful, not worth the pay. Don't work here. Short staffed, nasty coworkers.

Good First Job

It's a decent job with decent pay. Tolerable work once you get a long with coworkers and management. Hard to get over of coming home like fried food after work all day but you get used to it after a while.

It’s very fast gotta stay on your toes gotta learn your mangers and definitely your gm if you don’t kno and you just go in there with no idea they would let you fall the house a ok day mid night

Great fun job good people to work with

Good pay wonderful hours discount on lunch paid every two weeks. Management is outstanding. Go in5:00am work drive thru windows sometimes customers get I rate just be calm and professional get boss if needed don't lose your cool

Very fun

Very fun work environment relaxed and such. Easy pay. Good hours. Management not too bad. Uniforms could be better. I really liked the job. It was well.

Negative Overall

Immature, petty managers. As a minor was not given breaks for 8 hour shifts. Worked 5-6 days out of every week, always worked weekends. Customers could be rude, but it was the disorganization and lack of care and respect from managers that caused the job to be so bad.

Productive and friendly coworkers

Great place to work really enjoyed my time here met new people clean restaurant and good people. I would recommend to anyone looking for their first job
