The most useful review selected by IndeedI worked at a few locations. It taught me a lot about different cultures and international hospitality. Once I started moving up, it’s all political and no one is really your friend. Tried to leave a few times and I was manipulated into staying with fake promises of promotions. Managers will make you do their dirty work and then take credit for it. I recommend every service besides Sandpiper reception. Or if you really want to do that, wait until the current CDV and reception manager is out of there.

Impegnativo ma stimolante

È sicuramente un’esperienza impegnativa a livello sia fisico che mentale, ti assorbe completamente perché anche quando le 49 ore di lavoro sono terminate si resta comunque GO, dunque pasti con i clienti e “ambiance”. Paragonabdolo ad altri lavori stagionali da la sicurezza di un contratto regolare con ferie, permessi, tredicesima e quattordicesima, inoltre sono previsti premi “produzione”.

Good colleagues but terrible management

I like my colleagues and my work environment, however I do think that this company needs to change many things especially people in higher position and human resources. This company allows managers to party until midnight even during the pandemic, disrupting employees' sleep. Also, I do not feel the HR has our best interest at heart. I do not feel like I can come to them if I ever have concerns. Work hours are long, and have to attend to guests all of the time even during off days.

Multicultural and an opportunity to learn new things

Work hard party hard; manage your time; know who you are or learn who you are at your core. Figure out what you want to be and go for it. Learn how to get along with people who are different than you. Learn to manage guest expectations and overcome challenges positively. Learn to be sociable. The requirement to live amongst the guests; eat with them, drink with them, puts a challenge on your time and you must learn to be moderate in everything. Save a piece of yourself for yourself. Gain life-long friends from around the world.

Living in a Caribbean paradise. Best beach in the world

12 to 16 hour days/ 6 days a week. (There’s time for fun and breaks in there)

Tutto positivo, non lo stipendio

Tutto davvero molto positivo: colleghi e superiori, ambiente di lavoro, lavoro in sè e ospiti. Quasi impeccabile. Rilavorerei anche per loro con piacere unico neo, la paga poco commisurata al lavoro e vita di villaggio da seguire. Fino ai 23 non credo ci si faccia problemi per la paga, ma dopo occorre rivedere lo stipendio e commisurarlo alla città in cui uno vive.

Very Supportive Place to Work

The culture of Club Med is like family. They look after their staff with fair wages especially since they take care of all living costs. Great opportunity for someone young without commitments to experience life away from home and learn to deal with customers from all different countries.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and felt very looked after. I wish i had kept this job longer and fulfilled my own dreams of the time.

ORRORE è la parola giusta non so per gli altri com’è stata la loro esperienza ma la mia orribile
Poca comunicazione e sempre voler aver ragione sulle cose
Ambiente freddo e solo se volevano si poteva parlare Tra di noi...
La delusione di questo posto è stata così tanta che mi dispiace più per me che per loro.. chiaro chi va deve sopportare tutto il tran tran ma la maleducazione è incredibile
Sempre con ambiente teso e nervoso per lo più quando poi eravamo quasi tutti come prima stagione cioè non ho mai capito nonostante dicevano non vi preoccupate siete una prima stagione gli errori sono normali e poi quando facevi un errore giù sgridate su sgridate senza neanche ricordarsi che siamo una prima stagione e poi ovvio si creava un ambiente teso
Insomma per fare un buon team bisogna avere disponibilità e pazienza ma come è andata a me è stato un inferno vero e proprio!

Comunque io dico che sbagliare quando si fa una cavolata ci sta assolutamente ma essere sempre nervosi tesi e prendersela con tutti e tutto allora no!
Buona fortuna per gli altri che vorranno fare questa esperienza!

Great place to work when you are young and active. Not like 5 stars hotels management. You work at Club Med for the experience, travel, benefit of all the facilities for free.
Most of the general meetings are at midnight. You almost never sleep. 6 days of work per week, and you have to do the show even on your day off. Lots of activities to attend in your day of work: Shows, trainings, work hours, meetings, entertainment at the bar and club.
Happy to have done it, but will not do it again.

Fun and Productive

Club Med Punta Cana was my second job working as a receptionist and i truly enjoyed this.
This was actually my first job away from home, but i learned a lot as well,
I really recommend to work here because here you will learn what customer service is really about.

-check-in, check-out, utilizzo telefono, gestione reclami, accompagnamento in stanza con presentazione della struttura e dei servizi offerti, partecipazione ai momenti di convivialità quali animazioni, preparazione eventi, spettacoli, aperitivo e pasti categoricamente con i clienti.
-buona preparazione tecnica e ottima capacità per le relazioni interpersonali.
-ottima gestione dell' azienda, rispetto per l'organigramma piramidale, organizzazione che cura il dettaglio nella collaborazione armoniosa tra polo alberghiero e polo ricreativo.
-ambiente lavorativo multiculturale, ottima possibilità di scambio.
-poco tempo per attività strettamente personali durante tutto l'arco della giornata fatta eccezione per la giornata di riposo.
-possibilità di interagire con tipologie di persone molto varie tra loro.

Great if you young and want to save some money

As many works in tourism at Club Med you work long hours, the salary is ok even if does not match with the work load! As a Receptionist you will be required to spend time with guest and have dinner with them outside your working hours also perform in shows!
For couple of season is good for saving money as your salary is clean after food and accommodation expenses but I don't see it as a life job!
It is a great experience that can provide you with a base working for receptions
