Reviews about Salary & Benefits for Service Advisor at Dell Technologies

I have been working at Dell Services full-time

I work on home office and due to the flexibility that the company has I've had the opportunity to get different certifications from training paid by myself. Work environment is OK, as all my colleagues work US or India based I don't get to know anyone personally. Day to day activities are not quite challenging so I feel I'm getting in a comfort zone which is not good. One good thing is that I get a lot of support from my manager in all ways.

Pros

Diversity is really important, Life-Work balance is really good, Work environment is good, Career opportunities seems good, not on the account I'm assigned but apparently easy to move within the company to other areas, Stability as the company is growing and gaining participation in the market.

Cons

Compensation was not what was offered, there is not carreer growth from my current position.

Good learning Experience

If you are starting or just recently coming from college is a good place to start. You can learn a lot of new stuffs if you like technology. Competitive environment, depending which area you are working on don't expect help from some peers. If you are on a Tech Support facing customers you get a lot of training and certifications, when you move to another area looking for better salary don't expect you are going to receive training.

Pros

Benefits, Flexible time, work from home

Cons

management, low morale, takes too much time to advance.

Company has become very unstable for the employees. What once was an excellent place to work is now a place where everyone is waiting on the axe.

I started with Perot Systems when Ross Perot Sr. still owned the company and every employee felt like they were someone. After Michael Dell purchased the company layoffs began and employee morale went way down. They began off shoring jobs. Overall I enjoyed my 10 years there and was certainly not ready to be laid off. I learned a great deal about Service Desk, Customer Care, the need for team work, accountability, and Documentation. My first position was as a service desk agent. I showed leadership and initiative and was promoted to A Team Lead position on a brand new account with 14 new agents that needed to be trained. I trained them and had them up and taking calls on time. I also served later on as Service Manager. In this position I was charged with making sure the Service Level Agreements (SLAS)were met on time. This required interaction with numerous Dell teams and communicating directly with leadership of the customer which at times included upper management.

Pros

excellent benefits

Cons

most USA jobs are being sent off sore.
