Working in public accounting anywhere is going to require long hours but you will be rewarded with opportunity and great pay/benefits. The challenging work and breadth of experience is worthwhile but you may find yourself looking for better work/life balance after a few years.
Such a poor environment with poor leadership. It lacks support from multiple dimension and full of office politics. Unless your lucky and work with someone who really knows what they are doing AND willing to coach you, your screwed. Such a double standard place where they consistently ask you to make a better margin but not giving you any resource...I can keep going all day long And
Great place to work for people who enjoy being able to work remotely and to work in a fast pace environment. You work with people who genuinely care about your career development.
A good opportunity to grow fast and learn a lot of things. Work with multinational clients and develop a network. You can meet really good people and professionals.
Educational Benefits and Exchange Programs
Management, instability after becoming manager, too slow to get the technologies running over the company
EY is a great place to work and a good platform to launch your career. The team I worked for was great with a lot of experienced staff. There is a lot of scope for growth and various opportunities are available for go-getters. The work-life balance is very difficult though as the role I was in was very demanding and required me to be very flexible with work days and work timings.
The brand, the various opportunies for growth and development, secondment opportunities, training and learning
Work-life balance is difficult to maintain, micro management by a few team managers
Great opportunity to work at Big 4 but it's very cutthroat and demands a lot of time. If your direct boss is unorganized or sucks at his/her job, then you have to manage up and go above him/her to be successful.
Lacks work/life balance.

Good work profile. However beyond a point in time it is just office politics. Can survive in firm with good talent but growth is impossible without god father. Good office colleagues and fun place to work
Good learning, exposure, clientels
Long working hours and impresonal nature at work. Cannot grow in the firm without godfather
Working at EY GDS has always been a delightful experience. Every day is a learning experience with immense opportunities for developing your career. Team handling is oriented towards the individual as well as team development. All in all EY is indeed building a better working world.
Very high KPIs to meet. Hard to meet them as an experienced hire, but achievable with hard work. Definitely, a place to work toward partnership. Location Investment practice was an excellent place to challenge my skills and push myself forward.
Training and investment
Hard to meet KPIs
Our offices are open plan which makes for a very approachable and connected working environment. We have flexible working hours with of 8 hours a day; however, most employees work 12 to 13 hour days on most occasions. My technical knowledge, ability to team and to lead has grown in leaps and bounds. I have learned to work under tight deadlines in a stressful environment and with difficult clients successfully. Our ultimate goal to consistently provide Exceptional Client Service. Self development is highly encouraged and there are endless opportunities which energises employees and makes for a happy and positive culture. Dealing with a new client and new engagement in terms of the kind of work you previously were involved in. One needs to learn very quickly in how to handle the new client and to grasp the technical aspects of the work to be provided. This usually results in many hours spent outside normal working hours and over weekends to prep and reach the standard required in order to deliver Exceptional Client Service. Meeting new people from across the world and constantly learning something new everyday.
Self development and growth
Not compensated for hours above 8 hours a day.
Good Place for new employees to work for Tax Service Line, who like to take breaks based on the high & lows of the work schedule. No great scope for advancement or allocation of projects based on eligibility/knowledge.
Work/Life Balance, Breaks from Work
No learning or growth for experienced professionals.
The subject is EY's slogan. If you make it to EY you will see many opportunities for career development and advancement. Working in Big4 does not mean you need to scarify your time and work for long hours. You will still able to enjoy Work Life Balance if you know how to manage your time well.
Good reward pacakage and promotions
Avalaible to promote and upgrade too fast can kill the self motivation and competitive
