Management (Former Employee) - Cressona, PA - 13 January 2023
Very poor organization, they claim to care about people but safety in fractures are ignored. it is a run at all cost, no thought into what the future is or can be. I do not recommend it unless you need a paycheck to hold you over

This isn't the place for balanced work and life
I left (Former Employee) - North Liberty, IN - 18 November 2022
This place has got to be the worst place to work in such a small town, being a parent with children and trying to work here is a absolute negative when it comes to try having a life with my family. 14+hour shifts, you gotta be kidding me .. especially with raising 2 kids , it just don't mix , if they had 8 hour shifts for people that actually have a life then , maybe , but not until managers get their heads out of their behinds . Not to mention most of the people working there are addicted to hardcore drugs , don't believe me start doing more urinalysis's or folical tests !

You’re just a number
Extruder a (Former Employee) - Cressona, PA - 15 September 2022
Management is garbage as well as HR, to them you’re just a number they can filter through over and over again. New people once every 2 weeks. The turnover rate is caused by they’re own actions.
Pros
Good pay, always learning
Cons
Short breaks, misinformation, biased, disorganized

Place don’t care about the real workers
Shift Leader (Former Employee) - Phoenix, AZ - 14 July 2022
Worst place to work I was there for five years worked my way up to lead busting my but for that place and then new management came that’s when I got my first ever write up I had the most years and experience there than anyone my work ethic is flawless as well as my knowledge there and then after a hard 12hrs of work they lied and said I smelled like weed. I was off the clock when they asked me to perform drug test told them no and walked away they fired me

Management doesnt listen to employees, they do not want to change the culture for the better. Most employees are not happy. Work life balance is not good.

Just like the Titanic, the warning signs are there, but its full speed ahead!
Shift Supervisor (Former Employee) - Mountain Top, PA - 6 June 2022
Production comes before everything, even though management preaches safety and quality should never be compromised ahead of production. You are never given the credit when productions numbers are hit, but are first to be questioned when they are missed. Scheduling has always been a problem, but the team in charge of all of scheduling never changes. There is no work/life balance. Mandates twice a month on weekends even when the work doesn't dictate a need. Where is management when mandates roll around? Not a work! Enjoying their 2 days off. Pay is OK, but only if you are willing to work a ton of OT. Staffing is always an issue and a good amount of the new hires either leave within a month because they see first hard what they are in for or they are just not worth a lick, but they are the ones HR has "No Worries!" about. The workers who have been there for some time are all decent guys and do their job with little to no recognition other than the occasional pizza party. The job is extremely hot in the summer and for parts of the building, doesn't get any better in the winter. If you live in Mountain Top, your commute isn't bad, but going up that mountain everyday destroys your vehicle and the winters months can be very challenging.

Hydro aka Sapa
Die Maker (Former Employee) - Portland, OR - 30 May 2022
Very sad and depressing place to work after Hydro bought out Sapa. Before we had incentive and employees involvement. After we became just a number and we’re told we were lucky to get a pay check. Lifelong excellent employees were let go to bring in inexperienced low p paid workers.
Pros
Paycheck?
Cons
Low Pay, no more promotions, no incentives, nothing

It was okay
Production Worker (Former Employee) - Sidney, OH - 28 May 2022
I used to work for this company they made you come in on a Wednesday and train the rest of the week on you’re bcc machine and expect you to know all of the paperwork and the checks and how to debur all the parts you make all the same time making sure you’re quality is good and you make sure the machine works and you have to clean it up at the end no problem with that i like to have a clean and safe environment to work with but they also expected you to take the coolent out of the machine at the end of the day also do all of the paperwork within all of the time frame along with trying to get insane amount of numbers to keep production up and not work 7 days i definitely don’t recommend coming here unless you are ready to run around with your head cut off and be prepared for untrained running on you’re CNC machine the Benfits are good the breaks are kinda short but are pretty flexible as long as you keep your machine going 2 10 minutes and one 30 for lunch.

Great Company to Work For
Packer (Current Employee) - Connersville, IN - 23 May 2022
Hydro is a great place to work. The company really cares about its employees. They often reward us with lunch, bonuses, gift cards, etc. The profit sharing program is great and allows people to earn extra just for showing up to work. Plus you only work 14 each month.
Pros
Caring Environment, Paid Well, Great Benefits, Great People
Cons
Temperature

Pays the bills.
Extrusion Line Operator (Former Employee) - Industry, CA - 7 May 2022
Being honest I didn’t really learn much from this company besides cutting aluminum, packaging and bundling units which I already knew how to do. It is union so they do offer good benefits, they pay for you’re boots uniform and safety equipment. The pay is low but it is a straight forward type of job , you’re standing for 12hrs straight. Best parts would be working with coworkers helping each other out. A free locker to put you’re stuff , food truck once a blue moon and the bonuses. Worst parts would be besides draining you’re soul for 12hrs straight, you’re always rushed to finish the last order cause the machine keeps on making more new orders. take lunches over you’re fifth sometimes don’t have time to take breaks. There’s no coverage low staff, super humid cause it is a plant so when it’s 80degrees outside it’s probably 100 inside and have to work mandatory on some Saturday’s.
Pros
Good benefits, paycheck every Friday.
Cons
low pay, understaffed, no social life.
