Very well rewarded based on the effort you put in work. But this means very competitive work environment although work life balance is very much emphasised. Also safety is stressed at all levels.

Good work environment and culture

Good salary and benefit such as medical, food subsidy and electronic. They also implement hybrid working mode, which make it really flexible for us to work whether on site or at home. Team member is also kind and always open to help and share knowledge with each other. A lot of celebration and gift given from time to time.Training is provided but self-initiative is also needed to use the resource provided to learn and continuously improve ourselves.The hardest part would be to keep on track with the milestone of each project and there will be a time where a lot of task need to be done in parallel. Depends on how the team being led and I am lucky enough for having a good lead that help to advise on what things need to be prioritized.

Retrenchment/ lay off constantly happens

As mentioned in the title above, retrenchment, lay off constantly happens, whenever business is at downfall, pandemic, or change of management, something will happen in the TPA team, jobs are insecure, especially given to current period, and Malaysia is a low-cost centre yet, the team members are the first to leave when there is a downfall, we are the first got affected.

Excellent place to learn and develop skills and career

Fast-paced workplace. Need to maintain quality and meet time constraints as per Intel's core values. Management is nice and understanding. Hardest part of job is self and project management in general. Things go better if the project scope, timeline, milestones, and expectations are set correctly, aligns and satisfies all stakeholders. Ultimately, everything is up to discussion, and always be transparent and honest with what is achievable and the level of quality within a limited timeframe to meet KPIs, OKRs and quarterly targets. Set expectations right, and everything would go smoothly.

Cons

Salary could be better (but that's for all Malaysian companies)

Great internship experience in Intel

I got to learn a lot when joining the training from Intel. Buddy and co-worker are all so friendly and they are so willing to help up when I ask them any questions. Overall, I would like to join and work in Intel again after I graduate in the future.

Intel such a company that care for their employee and always asking for the feedback from workers. Intel safety and quality is always be the first for the company and workers. The environment is comfortable and benefits is good.

Overall working experience at Intel is great.

Comfortable culture, employee-driven company. Too flexible working hours where you will work till you never realized it dinner time again. Manager will w/ you on career advancement if you wanna leave job.

Great working environment

Great working environment and experience. Colleagues are nice and the facilities are great. The salary is good since employee will receive pay twice per month. Got bonuses every quater.

Flexible and relaxing

We worked as a team. No high pressure received from top management as long as you can manage your task. You can do your work at any area in the office etc cafe. Have your own sweet time. Plus point here they provided you mothers room for nursing mom to express milk. So convenient!

One of the best companies for fresh-graduates

For an internationally well-known company, Intel is a good place for fresh graduates to kick start their career journey due to its numerous career development opportunities, learning experience and numerous benefits. However, due to the high intake of graduates and limited opportunities to get converted from a Graduate Trainee (GT) to a permanent employee, one needs to perform very well to be distinguished from other candidates. Each department has limited allocated openings for the permanent position, thus it's quite tough to get converted even after one year. A typical day at work would consist of everyday routines that might get busy if currently there are new products coming in. As for the workplace culture, co-workers are mostly helpful although sometimes, racial-based affinity groups are quite prominent and this sometimes could cause feelings of separation between employees. I would say that the glorification of a busy workstyle is still very much notable in this company. For the newly acquired company (previously known as Altera), the process of integrating Intel cultures is still ongoing and might be taking time thus the difference between the work-culture in the "original" Intel and the "new" Intel.

Many layers in organization structure

Good = Good place to work, good collaboration within teams. Bad = Too many layers in organization structure/process will drag on project execution timeline.

They have a lot of benefit for employees and work life balance culture. There is no any political issue in management and they are willing to help others as their policy.

Fun place to work

Everyone is friendly and helpful, culture is good. They have buddy system so don't worry too much. There will be times when there is stressful but you can call out to your manager about that

Allows work from home for some department. Can't say much since still in training phase. Friendly coworkers and decent benefit. Learning path is a little steep for me.

Good salary, the interview session was hard but I didn't expect that I'll get a notice of acceptance the next day. They provide the laptop for you to work with and for my department it was competitive and fast paced yet chill. Overall good experience

High demanding job

Expectation is high and manager always demand things. Pay is good. Benefits is okay ish. Food is given credit can buy at cafe. High dental and ootic coverage
