A good place to work, staff are always on hand to help. It offered me a good work life balance between my studies. Paid well for a waiters job and looked after staff wellbeing .

I have worked at two nandos. in my first nandos job i worked brilliantly as i had lovely people around me and the managers were just amazing!! best job i has because everyone was like family. In my second nandos job which was in London (i wont be specific) it was horrific to work there. Somehow the management team always had things to complain about me in terms of work. i i have worked five jobs before and never had complaints however in this job there were complaints of me not asking to go toilet and apparently i was slow which does not make sense as the management team did not work as fast as the employees. Even when working my backside off and attending to everyone management still had problems. However it is funny because they would go kitchen and laugh and talk, break social distancing rules and go on phones while working in the restaurant as well as make stupid awkward and weird jokes. When talking to colleagues they said i was fine and was doing all my work and there was no problem. They were biased as apparently i was talking to a colleague too much and this was just a 3 minute conversation for which ONLY i got penalised for and my colleague did not have any conversation with the manager. Hypocrites, and they are up your backside all the time and only have bad things to say. however the colleagues in terms of waiters, nandocas etc were lovely and i had no problem with them.
Pros
Free lunch
Cons
Short breaks, toxic management

Pay is biweekly with minimum wage for most positions. Takes a while to move up and on your feet a lot but thats what the job is. Could use better hygiene practices for bussing tables. Management is always really nice and understanding to scheduling.

This job is best suited for school or uni leavers, people who don’t yet know what they want to do with their life and do not have a goal or you may have just recently retired and want to do something with your spare time and earn a little cash.

Nandos is as you would expect, a place for young Adults and students. I started at Nandos late 2019 and worked there for over a year. For the majority of it I suffered heavily from depression and was battling that around a constant working presence and schedule. The management team where to an extent fairly understanding and respected me when I needed space and time to myself. However Nandos on its surface has a face of family values, the perfect workplace values. However underneath it’s nice exterior. It is a winding and twisting passage of lies, deceit and bickering. I can guarantee that the majority of staff at Nandos will stab you in the back, as soon as your attention is needed elsewhere. Like every job everyone is trying to climb the ranks and this creates to an extent a hostile work environment full of mental breakdowns and arguments. My big problem with Nandos was my transfer request which they mucked up and laughed off. Leaving me penniless and without a job, with uni bills to pay. It was a considerable factor in why I left uni and decided to follow a different path. Nandos to the end of my employment was very shallow and secretive. They Will place the blame on you for the majority of its problems and flaws. However I did to a part enjoy my time with the company. Free meals. I made lifelong friends and enjoyed my time with members of staff. 3.5/5 - Summary. I friendly place with a floor of broken glass
Pros
Free Meals, Friendly staff, Some Friendly Management
Cons
Progression, Some Hostility

I worked at nandos for over 3 years. The management is very poor they don’t care about your personal life or what’s going on they don’t support you. They only care about the restaurant and them selfs. Your work colleagues are young and act immature on shift and can’t do there job properly you always get moaned out from staff. The cooks are in experience they have no experience around food they just Chuck chicken on the grill and slap sauce on it.When you get the job if you apply for a waitressing you have to clean the whole restaurant after a long shift for e.g 12-12 your so tired all day running after customers then you got to go clean the whole floor then the toilets and then expect to help other people. Nando’s expect to much from young people they expect you to be an amazing cleaner and not to be tired and grumpy. Before you leave your expected to clean the staff room this is cleaning up others mess there would be good stuck to the floor and source all over the walls it’s gross. Working at nandos is very depressing. They don’t care about you the expect you to work all the time if your sick they will fight for you to come and do your shift they don’t care if you need to go to the hospital they will try to make you come in. If you have an appointment last minute with the hospital the mangers won’t let you swap shifts they will fight and fight and make you feel bad.
Pros
Free food and drink
Cons
Long hours, poor management
