I worked at NI for around 15 years. The company changed a lot over that time, and it was all negative in my opinion. I did enjoy my time there, as I got to work on a lot of amazing projects and I learned so much. Work-life balance was generally pretty good, though there were periods that required extra effort and hours. There was once a perfect storm where I worked 80 hours/week for 4-5 weeks in a row, which went entirely unappreciated by my managers and co-workers. That in and of itself was a valuable lesson to speak up and demand change if that ever happens again. By the end of my time there, I felt so inundated with worthless meetings, peer reviews, self-reviews, required company events, etc. that it felt impossible to get enough contiguous focus time to actually write software and complete features. My manager wanted me to write essays about how I plan to "inspire a culture of growth" instead of doing software-related work. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that anymore.

The manifestation of a leader / manager is incredibly smug, contemptuous. Motivation is completely eradicated from the person, if you want to develop and achieve success, do not choose this company. Shift leader’s buddy chastises and spy his colleagues. For some people, special rights such as: avoiding work, spoiling the mood, doing nothing all day, counting other's breaks, doing 3 times less work, and many more could be listed. Liar shiftleader, who can’t even handle a leaving of an employee professionally. Wages that do not fit the position, toxic environment, a complete underestimation of the worker, watching an employee be completely stupid.

Lots of things to learn as a student, at least when I started, the company had a goal of only hiring the best and the brightest. Sadly that has gone down the drain, as the pay was seriously lagging behind.You can't hire the best and the brightest and pay them below the market average.

The company has a heavy focus on Engineers and making the world a better place. I feel connected and with a sense of purpose. Work-life balance is relative to the position but most of them encourage you to work hard and rest hard.

Tudatosan felépített, befolyásolni vágyó nevetséges vállallati kultúra aminek a negyede sem igaz. Bruttó 1000 forint körüli órabérek három műszakban, amit pár évente emelnek 20-30 forinttal ha épp van kedvük, 3 hónapos határozott idejűszerződések. Évente mindenféle értelmetlen teljesítmény beszélgetés, célkitűzés, elkötelezettségi beszélgetés, mindenre van kapásból egy betanult kifogás, hazugság, persze minden a dolgozókért van mert az ember az első náluk:) Nulla megbecsülés, semmihez nem értő nagyképű vezetők.A munka része nem nehéz, tiszta környezet, viszont a 3 műszak megterhelő. Ezenkívül még sok helyen 15-20 éves haldokló gépek amivel nehéz dolgozni, aztán persze ha nem jönnek a számok a dolgozó a hibás.Egyetlen pozitívum a magas cafateria ezen kívül semmi, senkinek nem ajánlom csak legvégső esetben.

Do not join the TSE organization they are going through a lot of changes and I would suggest staying out of it. The managers are too by the book and are very frustrating to work with.

The founder created a great culture. He created a place he would love to work and which had a long-term vision based on employees. Employees were considered the company's greatest resource. Since he has retired the culture seems to be shifting toward a shorter term focus and the employees seem to be more expendable. Might still be better than many companies, but it is hard to say where the company is headed now.

National Instruments was a nice place to work. Most people were approachable and intelligent.They cut product development years ago and now revenue is reflecting those choices. Jobs have been consistently offshored over the years. Seems like the vision has been lost and most products have been priced out of the broader market.

Loved my creative teams' culture, before it was disbanded after 10 years in order to outsource. Sad for an Austin company to abandon Austinites and loyal super creative employees. The annual review process created an ugly dog-eat-dog environment between teams. Negatively impacted collaboration and trust. Witnessed managers throwing subordinates under the bus for decisions the subordinates warned against based on risk. The creative group tried to rebrand twice but was shut down by direct leadership then c-suite paid huge amounts for a rebrand.

Több mint 1 éve voltam a cégnél, megismertem sok területet és még több embert. A termelésben dolgozó kollégákat csak sajnálni tudom, hisz jómagam is ott tevékenykedtem mint egy a sok közül.A környezet szép és tiszta, az ebédlő is, végre elérhető áron voltak az árak, hisz a korona miatt 90%-os leárazással kedveztek a bent dolgozóknak (csak sajnos nem marad hisz abban mi a haszon höhö! Nehogy már elérhető áron kínáljunk ebédet a szerencsétleneknek :)).. )A vezetés töketlenek brigádja, esküszöm nem értem hogy egyáltalán minek jönnek be dolgozni. A fizetés egyszerűen nevetséges. Nem tudom felfogni ép ésszel hogy egy cég, EGY ELVILEG AMERIKAI CÉG komolyan gondolja az ilyen 800-1000Ft körüli BRUTTÓ órabéreket, és ez az újaknak járó bér, a régiek még ennyit sem kapnak..vicc az egész. Ugródeszkának, ideiglenes munkahelynek jó, de amúgy kerüld el ha találsz egy értelmesebb helyet mint a tüzet. Kívül-belül megy a propaganda, meg a hatalmas profit és teljesítményekről szóló gyökér előadások, de belül egy rohadt alma az egész és korrupt kétszínű emberekkel van tele. Ha nem vagy egy felső vezető haver ismerőse akkor ne is álmodj rendes fizetésről/állásról. Csak halkan jegyzem meg hogy a cégnek 568 734 866 EUR nettó árbevétele volt a 2018.12.31-ei pénzügyi beszámoló szerint. Ebből a rengeteg pénzből nem telik arra hogy újítsanak is valamit..pláne nem a béreket.. :) Nem motivációs hetet kellett volna tartani hanem rendes béreket kéne adni, az motiválja az embert. Nem a dísz celebek kis csillagok. Nem ajánlom ezt a helyet.

I Will never advice National instruments to my ennemy workplace . They treat people like animal and the managers are very bad without experience. They never check your performance. They need you tĂł like them Always and be appreciated. So I do not have more to tell.

The business model is absolutely fantastic. Grab fresh out college graduates and pay them wages way under Market value only to jack thier intellectual property. The turnover rate is high for 20-30.

National Instruments has a lot of really great people, who are willing to go the extra mile and help each other achieve success. The culture is pretty welcoming and open, and generally you don't have to worry about getting fired. (There have been a couple of lay offs recently because of a rare company restructure). It's pretty normal to see people who have been working there for 15+ years.

Ez a munkahely annak teljesen megfelelő aki nem akarja, hogy béremelésben normálisan részt vegyen! Hiába vagy azaz ember aki folyamatosan Staff A, vagy Material H. 3 kategóriás vagy azaz ő általuk kiváló dolgozó és egyedül elengedett kézzel tudsz munkát végezni, vagy ujjakat betanítani 3-4 hetente, mert folyamatosan mennek el az emberek. Akkor neked ez jó, ha sok sok év távlatában is legjobb esetben, ha fejlesztesz és minden túlórán ott vagy kapsz egy olyan 30-40 ft bruttó béremelést, akkor ez a te helyed! Ping pong, csócsó, stb... nem az operator munkavállalóknak van, csak az irodistáknak, a 2 X 20 perc szünetben nem lehet csócsózni sima melósnak. Ez a kérdőív is az ő általuk megadottak alapján lett megírva! Olyan kérdésekkel, hogy még véletlenül se tudd elmondani, lehúzni rendesen a céget! Pl: HAON vagy a Dehír oldalakon már hozzá sem lehet szólni a cégről megosztott posztokhoz, hiszen már olyan szinten van ez a cég mint a Tiszaújvárosi JABIL ahol már szinte mindenki megfordult és híre ment, lassan a kutya nem akar már oda menni dolgozni! Kicsivel 1000 ft feleti bérek, hol ott már más cégek főleg újak 1500 felett adnak! Ennek a cégnek NEM célja megtartani a régi dolgozott. Mindegy mit tettél le az asztalra, jó munka, betanítottál másokat, problémás területtel foglalkoztál, vagy minden túlórán részt vettél, senkit nem fog érdekelni, mottójuk, aki menni akar az hadd menjen, mindegy ki vagy mindegy mit tettél az évek alatt!!! 10-15 és 20 éves hűség bónusz is 200.000 ft legalább vagy 50-50 ezer forint lenne a különbség! Iszonyatos árbevétel, népbutítás, kicsi fizetés.

After working at other companies, I realized that this place was low pay, they do negative reinforcement, and are all around macro managers. There are many other jobs in Austin that can provide stability without stress. Stress is a killer. The atmosphere and the friends that you will meet and make here are great people. See the movie "Office Space" and then make your decision.
