Anyone looking to work in the audit line, especially with a Big 4 needs to be prepared to work late nights and weekends. It's part of the learning curve/job requirement no matter the level/designation (junior staff/management level).

Your experience will be determined by what teams your get placed on and the individual people you work with, in such a large company theres a great variety. If you're a driven, works well under pressure, detail oriented person you're likely to succeed.

Work/life balance can be a challenge, but they generally reward hard work and good performance with bonuses and raises which are respectable for the industry. Always opportunity to take more challenging work.

The people and personal development / growth made working at this company great. Working with people who are all driven to succeed and who you can connect with in and outside of work. Also the company put you in an environment to grow and succeed with trainings and mentor ship programs. The bad was the politics of the company and management at times played favorites depending on the person. Another bad was during certain times of year non existent work/life balance.

The firm expects associates to hit the ground running and deliver a quality product to clients. For individuals who are self-starters and enjoy a fast-paced environment with ample opportunity to excel based on your own initiative, this is an excellent place to thrive.
Pros
Great benefits, access to partners, opportunities for advancement.
Cons
Some divisions may require heavy travel depending on the market.

One of the best places to work, client deadlines are hectic, colleagues are smart, collaborative and friendly atmosphere, diversity and inclusion are in PwC's DNA, high on ethics and compliance, spot on deliverables to client and work life balance, importance of family and leisure.

Soon after joining, I found out that the Lebanese CSP has fired every HR that is Bahraini. He has a vendetta against Bahraini nationals and only helps those that bend for him to keep their jobs. He treats Lebanese employees very well and gives them rewards for tattling on other employees. He enjoys torturing talent by letting them watch the development of uneducated employees. Do not trust the regional HR because if you complain then you will immediately get fired. Also their pay is below market and they expect you to work insane hours. If you are thinking of joining this company as HR then don’t take the risk as you will get fired within a year if not sooner. Also you will get tortured by the CSP as he is very neurotic but will pretend that he is easy going in the first month. Don’t believe him or anyone in this company, they are all frauds. If you are a fraud then you found the right place. Otherwise run away ASAP!

Very little regard for work-life balance. Grueling travel schedule. Highly driven and intelligent people. Fierce competition embedded in a feudal framework.

Absolutely cut throat environment. Director was a half functioning alcoholic and had team members fired for his shortcomings. Dallas office in particular has a discriminatory culture toward men and all heterosexuals

Super high work load that goes totally underappreciated if you get a bad manager. Reorganizations come abruptly and you might get a different culture. HR has good initiatives to keep things in check, but it all depends on what network you can build - good networks will support and protect you. Stone-age IT that is very slow to transform and keep up with business.

PwC gave me the opportunity to grow as a consultant and invested heavily in personal development and training. The organization is quite flat and partners are involved in assignment work.
Pros
Opportunities to grow
Cons
Combination of assignment, knowledge sharing and proposals is difficult
