Good place to start a career; lots of opportunity for development, variety of work, etc. Culture largely depends on your specific line of service, office, and team. Pay starts relatively low for associates but ramps quickly once promoted in 2-3 years.
Benefits are great, if you are in a group other than Advisory, it's actually a very good company to work for. The people are very respectful, and especially the Austin group was incredibly energetic and upbeat besides the incredible workload. Big emphasis with Managers taking care of their people, very impressive!
Much like other Big 4 accounting firms, PwC can be a demanding place to work. Engagement with management varies by group, and at the manager level its been difficult understanding career path forward, as coaching could be improved especially within the advisory practice.

A diverse network of talented consultants. Opportunities to work in multi disciplinary teams however the focus on being billable requires initiative and access to decision makers which is almost impossible to figure out within a year or two in the firm.

It's a highly professional work place with Ethics and all staff are highly committed to their Jobs. There's a lot of independence on the side of the managers, which comes with increased responsibility and accountability for one's time. It's highly automated, with high levels of efficiency. The workplace is highly diversified, with staff from diverse backgrounds and cultures Most of the time, one has to work extra hours to deliver on assignments, which calls for high commitment from staff.
A typical day at work can vary significantly. Projects are quite different from each other both in terms of content and team dynamics. Agility and adaptability are key skills required to do well. The company is a good for recent graduates as it provides excellent learning opportunities. There are also a broad variety of projects that allows one to dabble in before deciding on a career path. Forget about work-life balance. Every one is willing to go the extra mile, which has created a very hard-working culture. Late night and weekend working is quite common. Also, the company is extremely political - it's a manager pleasing culture. Lots of manipulative people and territory grabbing at all levels, especially in mid-level and senior positions. Doing the right thing is not at all important. What matters is that you have pleased your managers and partners even when it is evident that what they are asking of you is ethically wrong or detrimental to the clients' requirements.

Favoritism, territory grabbing - absolutely no sense of team work;
Depending on which department you fall in, you can either get a very good experience and engage in interesting projects, or you can get thrown in the dark where you get under-utilised and become a victim of the blame game from your line management so as not to take the blame themselves. I enjoyed working on a short term project with a partner which we successfully delivered and got positive feedback from the client. Expect an unbalanced work/life balance

PwC's Advisory is a fantastic place to grow with an almost universally impressive group of people to work with. I expect a group of consultants to be smart, but have been most amazed at the degree of character that is built into the culture here. The coaching, teaming, opportunities for development, and the core character of the people here is beyond precedent. The team really gets the concept of ethical relationships with clients.My only negatives with the company relate to Management Consulting in general - it's a tough life with lots of travel and little consistency/certainty, which makes it a difficult job for some family men.
