JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Resolve support tickets in a fast and professional manner
  • Keep support requester updated on the progress of resolving their support ticket
  • Ensure all support coming in on emails, phones and conversations is logged in the support system
  • Log any bugs or feature request in helpdesk system
  • Responsible for managing backups and tape rotation and data center day to day administration
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
  • Providing desktop and server support
  • Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops including supports.
  • Reporting faults and maintaining logs on servers, desktops and laptops
  • Ensuring all logs for equipment and users are maintained
  • Ensuring licensing for all software purchased is recorded and maintained
  • Setting up new users and disabling expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Mathematics, Science & Technology or equivalent.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong Analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced implementation environment
  • Proactive to anticipate the needs of production
  • Team player
  • Highly organized with an ability to do multi task
  • Thrive in a high pressure, deadline-oriented environment
  • Willing to learn new technologies and operating environments
  • ITIL experience is an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
