Pharmacist

Pharmacy

Support pharmacy operations, medication safety, clinical pharmacy and inventory management.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the Pharmacy Manager in overseeing daily operations of the Pharmacy Department.
  • Review, interpret and dispense prescriptions while ensuring medication appropriateness and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain proper handling and documentation of controlled medications, including narcotics and psychotropic substances.
  • Assist in implementing pharmacy policies, quality programmes and professional standards such as GPP and GMP practices.
  • Manage medication inventory, including procurement, stock monitoring, storage and stock rotation to ensure adequate supply.
  • Provide drug information and medication counselling to doctors, healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Support safe preparation and handling of cytotoxic medications and ensure proper waste management procedures.
  • Participate in ward clinical pharmacy services, including medication review during ward rounds, medication history review and bedside dispensing.
  • Supervise and guide Pharmacy Assistants to ensure smooth pharmacy and ward operations.
  • Monitor and report adverse drug reactions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in evaluating new drug requests and maintaining the Hospital Drug Formulary.
  • Support clinical research activities and liaise with pharmaceutical companies or clinical organisations when required.

Requirement

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy.
  • Registered Pharmacist with valid annual retention certification.
  • CDR or Clinical Pharmacy experience will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English.
